MSI Eclipse SLI Review : All 3 Features

The presence of Intel Core i7 that at this time can only be used on the motherboard with the Intel X58 chipset changed the “war” of motherboard. Previously, the war of motherboard more concentrated on Intel P45 Chipset motherboard, but after the Core I7 presence, the war of motherboard shifted to Intel X58 Chipset Motherboard. MSI as the manufacturer of motherboard follow this “X58 War”, one of the motherboard relased by MSI is MSI Eclipse SLI.

MSI Eclipse SLI use Intel X58 an ICH10R CHipset that supprted Intel COre i7 Extreme processors. This motherboard equpped with 6 slot of DDR3-1600(OC) memory that supported triple channel cofiguration. This motherboard can accomodate DDR3 Memory Clock until 1600 MHz on Overclock Condition and 1333 MHz on normal condition. The Maximum RAM Capacity that can be accomodate on this motherbiard is 24 GB.

MSI Eclipse SLI equipped with 3 slots of PCIe x16 and supported with AMD ATi CrossfireX and and NVidia SLI, 3 slots of PCIe x16 can make triple Crossfire or triple SLI with install 3 pieces dual slot Graphics card. That’s amazing, isn’t it?.

MSI Eclipse SLI also provide overclocking facilities. There are 6 sets of CPU Power Phase and 4 sets of Chipset power phase. Actually that’s not awesome. Allthough MSI only provide 6 sets CPU phase but MSI provide good cooler system solution. There are heatsink that equipped with 2 line of heatpipe.
